“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15”
Having been able to bring ministers of the gospel together for some years now, I have come face to face with some very dangerous truth. Especially those serving in the Rural communities.
i) Very few ministers of the gospel have study bibles.
ii) Many do not have additional materials to study the bible.
iii) Many preachers cannot afford to buy books.
iv) A lot of preachers do not read other books apart from their bibles.
v) A lot of ministers of the gospel do not know which books to read to enhance their ministries.
The above finding brought a burden to my heart to start the library project which is in two parts, they are:
1) Distribution of books to individual Pastors to take home.
For some years now, in most of our Mission Awareness Conferences, Ministers Summit and prayer conferences, books would be distributed to participants which are mostly Ministers, Church worker, Missionaries serving in remote areas. These books come mainly from Donations and Purchase. Lately we have being receiving and publishing books authored by Bill Crampton free to give out to Ministers.
2) International Ministers Resource Centre.
This is a convenient place where books, study materials, audio and video tapes as well teachings from anointed Men and Women of God all over the world are kept and made available for gospel ministers to study the word of God.
Interested Ministers from anywhere, any tribe or congregation and denomination can walk in and study but would not carry the materials away.
We need more materials that can be of great help for the Ministers of the gospel in the Ministers Resource Centre.
Note please: When sending books, bibles, other study materials or tapes to the library project, please indicate whether it’s for distribution to the ministers or for the Resource Centre.
There is an urgent need to rent a bigger Resource Centre that can accommodate more users, also need for projector and Large Screen in the centre.
